Site of the historic signing of the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, the construction of the First Freedom Center brought exciting challenges. Located around occupied buildings in a heavily trafficked urban corridor required detailed strategy and organization. Public awareness of the project also encouraged careful planning and a sensitive approach to the buildout.
